Technical Support Engineer

Your Role

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for managing multiple IT infrastructures, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring the reliability and security of IT systems. You will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to maintain optimal performance.

• Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support to end-users, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee and manage servers, networks, storage, and security systems for optimal performance.
• System Maintenance: Perform regular updates and maintenance to keep IT systems secure and efficient.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve complex IT issues, implementing proactive solutions to prevent future disruptions.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of IT systems, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
• User Training: Conduct training sessions to enhance end-user understanding of IT systems and best practices.
• Project Management: Lead or contribute to IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure smooth IT operations.
• Security: Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect IT infrastructure from threats.
• Monitoring & Performance: Use monitoring tools to track system performance and proactively address potential issues.
• Version Control: Utilize Git for efficient repository management and software deployment.
• Cloud Services: Manage cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and virtualization solutions for secure deployments.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in technical support and IT infrastructure management.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or Cisco CCNA (preferred).

Technical Skills

• Operating Systems: Expertise in Windows and Linux server management.
• Virtualization: Experience with VMware, Hyper-V, or similar technologies.
• Networking: Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN configurations.
• Storage Solutions: Familiarity with SAN, NAS, and cloud storage management.
• Cloud Platforms: Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Software Development: Understanding of basic programming concepts and experience with Git version control.
• Linux/Unix Systems: Comfortable using command-line tools for troubleshooting and configuration.

Soft Skills

Preferred Qualifications
