Job Description
Tesco India is looking for an experienced software engineer specializing in Java development. The role involves working on distributed systems, cloud platforms, and retail technology solutions to improve customer and colleague experiences. Candidates will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications while ensuring security and best coding practices.
Requirements
- Develop and maintain applications using Java 13+ and Spring Boot
- Design and implement distributed systems with reactive programming principles
- Work with SQL/NoSQL databases to manage data efficiently
- Utilize message queuing systems like Kafka for asynchronous processing
- Develop and deploy applications on cloud platforms such as Azure
- Follow Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban for software development
- Ensure security, performance, and maintainability of software systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve retail technology solutions
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in Java 13+ and Spring Boot for backend development
- Strong understanding of system design and distributed systems architecture
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture using Kafka or similar tools
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure or any other)
- Knowledge of software security best practices
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to adapt to changes and continuously learn new technologies
