Job Description

Splunk is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (TechOps) to help maintain and improve its large-scale cloud infrastructure. This role focuses on Cloud Infrastructure, automation, monitoring, and incident management, ensuring high availability and performance for Splunk’s SaaS solutions.

Requirements

  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure to ensure system reliability.
  • Perform impact assessments and resolve issues following established protocols.
  • Document issues and resolutions for future reference and process improvements.
  • Act as the first line of defense for cloud-related incidents, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and efficiency.
  • Automate manual processes to scale infrastructure management across thousands of machines.
  • Drive incident response and on-call support as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Cloud Operations, or related roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure management using tools like Puppet, Terraform, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in distributed systems.
  • Passion for automation, monitoring, and improving operational efficiency.
  • Data-driven mindset—proactively identifying and resolving issues before they impact users.
  • Willingness to provide on-call support and handle incident management.
