Requirements

The DevOps Engineer II will be a key player in Verisk’s Platform Team, responsible for optimizing infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, and ensuring system security and reliability. This role involves working across teams to enhance platform efficiency using cutting-edge DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

Build, maintain, and enhance platform components to support scalable infrastructure.

Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CDK for Terraform to ensure efficient deployments.

Architect and improve CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment and operational processes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify infrastructure needs and deliver high-quality solutions.

Maintain high coding standards, write clean and maintainable code, and participate in code reviews.

Stay updated with emerging DevOps tools, frameworks, and industry trends.

Work with CI/CD platforms like Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, TravisCI, or CircleCI to drive automation.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or software development, with a focus on infrastructure management.

Proficiency in Terraform or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code (CDK and CDKTF experience is a plus).

Strong understanding of software design patterns and best practices for system architecture.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
