They are looking for a DevOps Engineer to operationalize data migration and replication, troubleshoot system issues, and engage with customers to enhance developer productivity. The role requires maintaining and supporting customer-facing products across Amazon while identifying automation opportunities to streamline processes. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, possess strong communication and organizational skills, and be capable of handling multiple tasks effectively. The engineer should proactively detect and prevent outages while working on solutions to enhance customer experience.
Requirements
- Operationalize data migration and replication for critical Amazon data.
- Troubleshoot and maintain technical systems, ensuring high availability.
- Engage with customers to understand pain points and provide solutions.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to enhance developer productivity.
- Work closely with various Amazon teams to improve service performance.
- Detect potential issues and implement solutions to prevent outages.
- Balance multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of work.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in software development or technical support.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Experience working with Unix-based systems.
- Proficiency in scripting using modern programming languages.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS, networking, and operating systems.
