DevOps Engineer – Optum

Optum, a global healthcare technology organization, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to enhance the efficiency and automation of cloud-based systems. The role focuses on Azure cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipeline automation, containerized application management, and networking security to support seamless application deployment and operations.

• Cloud Automation & Infrastructure Management:

  • Design, implement, and manage Azure Logic Apps and Azure Function Apps for workflow automation.
  • Deploy and scale containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate infrastructure provisioning.
  • Optimize Azure Cosmos DB for performance and scalability.

• CI/CD & DevOps Pipelines:

  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
  • Configure and manage Azure API Management (APIM) and Azure Application Gateway for API security and scalability.

• Networking & Security:

  • Design and implement Azure Networking solutions, including VNet, Subnet configurations, and firewalls.
  • Manage key-vaults, service principals, storage accounts, Event Hubs, and other Azure services for security and compliance.

• Collaboration & Monitoring:

  • Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
  • Monitor system performance, security, and reliability to maintain high availability.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and improve existing cloud architectures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in a DevOps Engineer role with expertise in:
  • Azure Logic Apps, Azure Function Apps, AKS, and Container Apps.
  • GitHub Actions for CI/CD pipeline automation.
  • Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Azure Networking (VNet, Subnet, firewalls).
  • Azure Cosmos DB and key-vault management.
  • Azure API Management (APIM) and Azure Application Gateway.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualification

• Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or similar certification.
