Sophos Hiring Cloud Operations Technician – Remote (India / Ahmedabad)

As a Cloud Operations Technician, you’ll be part of a 24x7 team responsible for ensuring the uptime, reliability, and performance of Sophos' cloud and on-prem infrastructure. You’ll handle incident detection, troubleshooting, escalation, and support change/release activities.

• Maintain 24x7 operational coverage with rotational on-call support.
• Monitor systems using tools like Grafana, CloudWatch, Logic Monitor.
• First responder for incident alerts and system anomalies.
• Escalate and coordinate with internal support and engineering teams.
• Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and service improvements.
• Collaborate with DevOps, application, and infrastructure teams.
• Maintain SOPs, documentation, and ensure compliance with ITSM.
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades and deployments.

You Bring

• Cloud expertise: AWS or Azure (Compute, Storage, IAM, VPCs).
• Monitoring tools experience (Grafana, CloudWatch, Logic Monitor).
• Knowledge of ITIL & ITSM tools (e.g., PagerDuty, Jira Service Management).
• Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Experience with Linux/Windows system administration.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools (Git, Jenkins).
• Basic networking and security knowledge (TCP/IP, VPNs, IAM).
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
