Join Flipkart, India’s leading e-commerce platform, as a Site Reliability Engineer 2 and contribute to building highly reliable, scalable systems that support billions of transactions and data points. As part of the Reliability and Productivity Engineering team, you'll be designing distributed systems, creating extensible architecture, and mentoring engineers while solving deep technical challenges.

• Translate product requirements into scalable, modular components.
• Design low-level architecture with a focus on performance and extensibility.
• Choose optimal data structures, tools, and technologies.
• Contribute to high-level design decisions with guidance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-impact solutions.
• Focus on non-functional requirements such as reliability, scalability, and availability.

Required Skills

• Strong command over one or more programming languages: Java, Python, Ruby, Scala, C/C++, etc.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and system design.
• Experience with multi-threading, concurrency, and large data flows.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Agile environments.
• Experience with scalable web applications is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Prior experience in SRE, DevOps, or Backend roles.
• Passion for solving complex problems and driving efficiency.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
