Peerxp is looking for a DevOps Associate with 0 to 6 months of experience to join the engineering team in Bengaluru. This role involves deploying product updates, resolving production issues, and implementing integrations to meet customer requirements. Ideal for candidates eager to grow in DevOps, with foundational knowledge and a strong interest in cloud infrastructure, automation, and reliability

• Deploy and maintain product updates and infrastructure components
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues
• Automate operational processes with accuracy and efficiency
• Collaborate with development and QA teams for CI/CD and infrastructure integration
• Ensure system reliability and scalability through best DevOps practices

Requirements

• 0–6 months of hands-on experience in DevOps or related fields
• Proficiency with version control systems like Git or SVN
• Experience with web servers like Apache, Nginx, JBoss, or Tomcat
• Basic understanding of load balancing and networking concepts (e.g., DNS, DHCP, VPN, NAT)
• Working knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, especially GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins
• Exposure to AWS services such as ELB, VPC, S3, and RDS
• Basic scripting skills in Python or Shell
• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
• Experience with Unix/Linux systems (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)

Nice to Have

• Experience with Windows Server environments
• Familiarity with other VCS tools like Mercurial
• Database knowledge beyond SQL, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or Oracle
• Exposure to configuration management tools (Puppet, Chef) and CI tools (CircleCI, Bamboo, GitHub Actions)
• Understanding of code quality tools like SonarQube
• Programming experience in Java, Node.js, or Python
• Advanced orchestration knowledge (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm)
