Salesforce is seeking a DevOps Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes, microservices, and cloud infrastructure to join our Tech and Product team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll help build and manage a robust, multi-substrate platform powering Core CRM and a growing set of applications across Salesforce. Be part of a team that ships hundreds of features to millions of users every day and plays a critical role in maintaining the platform’s reliability, security, and scalability.

• Kubernetes & Microservices Management: Operate and manage a large-scale Kubernetes platform with high availability across multiple clusters.
• Automation: Drive automation in Python, Golang, Terraform, Spinnaker, Puppet, and Jenkins to eliminate manual tasks in daily operations.
• Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot complex, production-level issues across distributed systems, gaining hands-on experience with Kubernetes ecosystem services and internals.
• Monitoring & Metrics: Improve platform visibility by implementing comprehensive monitoring, logging, and metrics to ensure system health.
• Self-Healing Systems: Implement self-healing mechanisms to reduce manual intervention and increase system uptime.
• Collaboration: Work closely with various Infrastructure teams across Salesforce to ensure the smooth operation of cloud-based systems.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute code and improvements to drive system enhancements and overall platform reliability.
• Cloud & Distributed Systems: Work on scalable distributed systems with high-availability and durability, including databases and cloud infrastructure components.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience: Hands-on experience with large-scale, distributed systems in cloud environments.
• Linux Systems: Strong knowledge of Linux Systems Administration and Linux internals.
• Scripting/Programming: Proficiency in Python, GoLang, or similar scripting/programming languages.
• DevOps Tools: Familiarity with Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or other automation tools.
• Networking: Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, Load Balancers, Routers, Switches).
• Monitoring: Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Grafana, Zabbix.
• Containerization: Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or Service Mesh technologies.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS, Terraform, and Spinnaker.
• Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to quickly learn new technologies.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, to work effectively with teams.
