Maxar is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join our team in Westminster, CO. The successful candidate will work on automating, scaling, and optimizing infrastructure and deployment pipelines, ensuring fast, reliable, and secure delivery of high-quality software products. The role will involve close collaboration with development, QA, and operations teams.

• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for fast, secure deployments.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and monitoring using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) for high availability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure reliability.
• Containerize applications and orchestrate deployments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement and enforce security best practices across environments.
• Create and maintain documentation for processes, tools, and configurations.
• Participate in on-call rotations to address urgent production issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar roles.
• Expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
• Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaboration tools (GitHub, GitLab).
• Knowledge of networking, security best practices, and system monitoring (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd).
• Familiarity with observability tools and APM platforms (e.g., Datadog, New Relic, ELK).
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert).

Salary:

• Base pay for Colorado: $141,000.00 - $235,000.00 annually
