Hiring DevOps Engineer II (Remote) | smallcase | Bengaluru | Full-Time

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer II to join our core engineering team remotely. You will help build and scale fault-tolerant, low latency, and robust infrastructure for real-world financial market systems, ensuring security, performance, and reliability.

• Design and develop databases optimized for real-time, secure, and highly available financial data.
• Architect and scale infrastructure solutions for new features and existing services.
• Build microservices, manage AWS servers, and generate operational reports.
• Ensure application and system performance, security, and fault tolerance.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless DevOps automation and scaling.
• Automate infrastructure management using tools like Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform, and CloudFormation.
• Implement and optimize monitoring stacks (ELK) and alerting systems (Elastalert).

Required Skills & Experience

• 3 to 5 years in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or related roles.
• Strong fundamentals in systems architecture, databases, and networking.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and scaling infrastructure.
• Proficient with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools: ELK stack and Elastalert.
• Familiarity with databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and caching with Redis.
• Proficient scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Knowledge of web server architectures and AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, ELB, S3, VPC, VPN).
• Focus on building secure, scalable, and maintainable software systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion for learning and automating with open-source tools.
• Interest or experience in financial markets or fintech domain.
• Knowledge of cloud and API security best practices, especially AWS IAM, KMS, and WAF.
