Equifax is hiring Site Reliability Engineer – Trivandrum, India

Equifax is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to help build and operate large-scale, distributed, fault-tolerant systems in a DevSecOps environment. This role blends software and systems engineering to ensure high availability, performance, and resilience across production environments. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, focus on automation, and contribute to the continuous improvement of platform reliability.

• Operate and improve distributed, fault-tolerant systems in a DevSecOps environment.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to build highly available and cost-effective solutions.
• Work with the cloud operations team to resolve issues, develop automation scripts, and troubleshoot systems.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud CLI, Cloud SDK) aligned with security and engineering standards.
• Design and implement monitoring and alerting for critical systems and services.
• Develop auto-remediation tools to handle incidents proactively.
• Participate in a 24/7 follow-the-sun support model for incident and problem management.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of experience in software engineering, systems administration, or related roles.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with public cloud platforms.
• Experience monitoring system uptime and application performance.
• Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Java, Go, JavaScript, or Node.js.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure areas including systems, storage, networking, security, and databases.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and orchestration using Terraform, Chef, Ansible, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Cloud certification strongly preferred.
