Cloud Support Engineer I (Networking) | AWS India - Telangana

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Cloud Support Engineer I (Networking) to join their team in Telangana, India. This role involves troubleshooting complex networking issues, assisting customers with AWS services, and improving cloud adoption.

• Learn and work with cutting-edge cloud technologies
• Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques to solve customer issues
• Collaborate with global engineering teams to resolve technical challenges
• Assist customers in troubleshooting networking issues using various tools (traceroute, mtr, ping, iperf, tcpdump, etc.)
• Work on critical and complex problems across multiple AWS services
• Provide technical support and guidance to internal AWS teams in India
• Create technical documentation, tutorials, and how-to videos
• Improve support processes and enhance the customer support experience
• Ensure smooth communication with customers during critical issues
• Work on network security best practices

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience in a technical position
• 2+ years of experience in networking and technical troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of the OSI model (Physical, Data Link, and Network layers)
• Good knowledge of Networking Protocols (HTTP, SSL, DNS, TCP/IP, IPSEC, BGP)
• Experience with networking tools (traceroute, mtr, ping, iperf, dig/nslookup, cURL, tcpdump/wireshark)

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience configuring and supporting networking devices (Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, SonicWALL, Checkpoint, Palo Alto)
• Experience with VLANs, ARP troubleshooting, and routing protocols (BGP)
• Background working with ISPs and colocation providers
• Knowledge of distributed computing environments and security best practices
