Amazon's WWR&R (Worldwide Returns & ReCommerce) data engineering team in Hyderabad is seeking a Support Engineer to ensure operational excellence in its large-scale data infrastructure. This role focuses on maintaining production data pipelines, resolving incidents, supporting data compliance initiatives, and automating manual support tasks in a fast-paced and impactful environment

• Monitor and maintain production data pipelines, ensuring data quality, availability, and timeliness.
• Troubleshoot and debug technical issues in data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with data engineers and cross-functional teams on incident resolution and system improvements.
• Support compliance initiatives, including GDPR, access control enforcement, and audit readiness.
• Automate manual support processes to improve team efficiency and reduce risk.
• Maintain detailed documentation and runbooks for operational procedures and incident resolution.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software development or technical support.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
• Experience with scripting in modern programming languages.
• Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, RDS, S3, EMR, Hive, or Spark.
• Familiarity with BI/reporting tools like Tableau, OBIEE, or similar.
• Understanding of software development best practices across the lifecycle.
